BAXTER, Beth F. age 90 of Dayton, went to be with the Lord and join her sweetheart of 53 years, Chester Baxter on Wednesday, October 5, 2011. Beth was born September 23, 1921 in Dayton, OH, daughter of the late Harry & Florence (Hockey) Kern. She was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ, the Englewood Chapter O.E. S. #563 and was retired from the Lenz Corporation with over 40 years of service. Preceded in death by her husband, Chester in 1996, 3 sisters, Harrietann Spahr, Kathleen Pultz & Joann Siebert and 1 brother, Frederick Kern, Beth is survived by 2 sons, Rev. G. Alan Baxter (Joanne) and Steven Baxter; 1 daughter, Lisa Molesky (Martin); 4 grandchildren, Gregory Baxter (Sylvia), Jonathan Baxter (Donna), Amy Nevels (Kenny) & Aaron Molesky; 3 great-grandchildren, Sarah Baxter, Jeffrey & Mikayla Molesky, numerous step-great-grandchilren, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services, including Easter Star Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, October 11 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Randall Brakemeyer officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 am until time of service. If so desired, contributions may be made to the St. John's United Church of Christ in Beth's memory.
