The Longstreth book has him as Colfax L. Came north with his dad's family as a baby and went into mining with his brother Leonard during the depression . Told me [Jim] that he rode rods to the Bralorne mine in BC , and ate berrys for 3 days before he got on. Was a shift boss at caribou Gold Quartz in the 40's , Wells BC. Also mentioned Copper Mtn, some mines in the south and working in Texas oilfields. Not to mnetion being robbed in Mexico at knife point. Davey Crocket would not have liked that! He also said he , with an englishman partner ran a placer outfit on the Fraser River near Hope BC on the river bars, being flooded out one time at night. I guess in the 30's.

Divorced Daisy in early '50's and remarried in early 60's to Elizabeth Teichrow [ fomerly married to Dyke -widowed ] Clearbrook BC
His Bro Dennis's Headstone alongside placed by his brother Jim .His Bro Leonard ashes spread over the Pacific Ocean by Calfax and son Jim in 1957.
His wife Daisy Louise Ford married 1938 Vancouver BC who died Nov 1999 Nelson BC
