Motion picture scorer and orchestral arranger. Member of ASCAP from 1946. Although he had a prolific career, especially working extensively with movie scorer Max Steiner, and despite rarely being credited for his works, he'll probably be best known as the primary orchestrator for the 1939 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures film musical "The Wizard of Oz", including having been responsible for the iconic "Over the Rainbow" sequence.
