He later settled in Flat Head Valley, Montana in 1885. He homesteaded a farm there.
The 1900 census says he is living in Kalispel, Montana and he was born in Iowa, and his mother and father are from Illinois.
He married Florinda Bowser on July 14,1891 in Kalispel, MT
He had a patent issued on this land (#MTMTAA 063920) on May 4, 1894.
He moved to Camas Prairie, MT on July 3, 1908.
He lived near Fenn, Idaho when his daughter Jereine Conant married Arthur M. Lee
He had three daughters;
Melissa CONANT Meyer,
Jereine CONANT Lee/Peters and
Leola Lida CONANT Lester.
And one son;
Parks Delbert Conant.
The 1930 census has him living in Fenn, Idaho and it says that his father is from Michigan and his mother is from Indiana.
He passed away in December 1930 at age 72 after a lingering illness. He was survived by his widow and children, and one brother in Cincinnati, Ohio. One brother and three sisters preceded him in death.
He had 9 grandkids.
