Chester Andrew Morrison, 86, of 2950 Waggoners Gap Road, North Middleton Township, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002 at home.

Born Oct. 30, 1915, in Cumberland County, a son of the late A. Finton and Della Morrison Morrison, he retired in 1977 from Carlisle Tire and Rubber Co., where he was employed as a molder for 33 years.

He resided most of his life in North Middleton Township, operating a truck farm at his home for 49 years, raising strawberries and other vegetables. During World War II, he worked at the Harrisburg Steel Co.

A life member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 1299 and White Circle Club, both in Carlisle, he was also a member of the Quarter Century Club at Carlisle Tire and Rubber Co., AARP and the North Middleton Hunting Club in Perry County.

Mr. Morrison is survived by his wife of 64 years, Kathryn M. Snyder Morrison; three daughters, Mary K. Penner and Nancy L. Morrison, both of Carlisle, and Betty J. Shultz of New Bloomfield; two sisters, Mildred E. Ellerman of Carlisle and Della Walter of Boiling Springs; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Archie, Robert, Roy, Grant and Teddy Morrison, and three sisters, Martha Wagner, Emma Hefflefinger and Anna Boyr.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Marlin L. Snider officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, North Middleton Township.

Friends may call Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
