Last rites will be Monday for Frank E. Lyons, Libertyville, who died Thursday at the Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield after being in failing health for some time. His death came at 11 a.m.
The services Monday will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Elton Coleman in charge. Burial will be in the Ottumwa Cemetery.
Frank E. Lyons, 85, was born Nov. 25, 1876, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of James N. and Julia Roberts Lyons. He was reared and educated in Henry County.
On Feb. 28, 1912, he was united in marriage at Ottumwa to Lois Slaughter who preceded her husband in death on Feb. 14, 1959.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Lapp, Silver Springs, Md.; one son, James F. Lyons, Fort Collins, Colo.; three grandchildren, one brother Paul Lyons, Burlington. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and one brother.
