Mr. James Allen, a farmer living near Phillips, was taken to his home yesterday, having died suddenly at Julesburg from heart disease. The remains were met at the depot here and received the attention of the Masonic order of this city, a number of the members of which attended the funeral at Phillips today. Mr. Allen had been west buying cattle and was suddenly stricken down Saturday, being sick one hour. He leaves a wife and children to mourn his sudden death. He was a member of the Royal Highlanders, the Modern Woodmen and the Masonic order, which last named order had charge of the funeral service.
