MRS. GEORGE SHAFER
Dies at Her Home South of Sycamore Sunday Afternoon

Mrs. Elnora Shafer, daughter of John K. and Barbara Lupton, was born Nov. 27, 1857, in Sycamore Twp., Wyandot Co., and departed this life March 16, 1930. She had been in failing health for the past 2 years, having suffered a stroke of paralysis Friday evening from which she died Sunday afternoon about 1 o'clock.

In 1886 Mrs. Shafer was united in marriage to Reverdy Stokely, he having preceded her in death in 1890. One son was born to this union, Berton D. Stokely at home. In 1894 she was united in marriage to George B. Shafer. They lived at the home place 3 miles south of Sycamore. Mrs. Shafer was a member of the Ladies Aux. Post No. 250. She was the last of a family of ten children. She was a kind and loving mother, wife and daughter and will be sadly missed in the community.

The funeral will be held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Burial will be made at Sycamore.
