John was the husband of Phoebe (Lute) Patterson

He was the son of John Patterson and Maria A (Lamer) Patterson

John Calvin Patterson, 66, services were conducted today at the home of Irwin Stiles of Strongstown for the Barnesboro R. D. 2 resident who died Monday morning in the Indiana Hospital. Interment was to follow in the Diamondville Cemetery.

He was born in Green Township September 2, 1875, a son of John and Mariah [Leamer] Patterson, and passed his entire life in the vicinity of Pine Flats and Strongstown. He leaves his widow, Phoebe [Lute] Patterson, three foster daughters, Anna Patterson and Mrs. Ruby Stiles of Strongstown, and Liola [Viola] Patterson of Johnstown, and one grandchild. He was a brother to S. [Samuel] Bruce Patterson of Conemaugh, Mrs. Annie Ober of Barnesboro and Mrs. Margaret Rodkey of Indiana County."
