In 1928, Ruth married James Nelson Jones in Standing Rock, Alabama at the home of her parents. He was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Jones who lived near Roanoke, Alabama. They lived in Roanoke before moving to Atlanta where Mr. Jones started a business in automobile repairs. He and his son Nelson Jr. owned Houston Garage for over 40 years, and he passed away at the age of 76 on January 4, 1985. They are survived by their two children, James Nelson Jones, Jr. of Suwanee, Ga and Beverly Jones Wilde of Macon. Nelson Jr. and his wife Beverly Ann Steele Jones have three children: Carol Elaine Moore, Nelson Gregory Jones, and Richard Wayne Jones. Beverly married Richard Neal Wilde and they have two children: Donna Elizabeth Jones and Michael Nelson Wilde. There are ten great grandchildren and one sister, Catherine Lee Brown (husband was the late Rev. Vernon Brown) of Five Points, Al., and several nieces and nephew.
