Karen M. Cordell, 48, of 934 S. Fifth St., died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 1996, at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born June 9, 1948, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Clarence O. and L. Mable Nuckels Miller.

She was a 1966 graduate of Chambersburg High School, and was co-chairperson of the class' 30th reunion.

She was a homemaker.

She attended King Street United Brethren Church in Chambersburg, and the Breon Sunday School Class.

She was past president of the Chambersburg Little League Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Robert C. Cordell, whom she married March 7, 1968; two daughters, Ginger R. Cordell and Heather M. Cordell, both of Chambersburg; one son, Robert D. Cordell of Chambersburg; one sister, Joan L. Miller of Chambersburg; and three grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Patrick B. Jones and the Rev. Lester F. Stine will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg.

A viewing will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Friday one hour prior to the service.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association of Central Pennsylvania, 6041 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, Pa. 17112-1208.
