Mrs. Savitz passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2012 after a brief illness. Born in New Brookland, SC, now known as West Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of the late Henry Julius Areheart and Martha Ruth Wilkins Areheart.
Surviving are her daughters, Judith Savitz Singleton (James) of Hillsborough, NC and Elizabeth Savitz Schauer (Zane) of Palm Coast, FL; sons, Isaac Savitz, Jr. (Dollie) of Columbia, David Savitz (Virginia) of Rocky Mount, Virginia and Kenneth Savitz (Hartley) of Knoxville, TN; nineteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husbands, Isaac Sanford Savitz, Sr. and Maurice Savitz and her sister, Mary Estes.
