Lake Katrine- James J. Bracco, 91, a resident of Lake Katrine for five years, passed away at Ten Broeck Commons nursing home. Mr. Bracco had just celebrated his 91st birthday.
Mr. Bracco was born January 20, 1918 to the late John and Carolyn Meehan Bracco. His father John was a fire chief in Pearl River. Mr. Bracco grew up in Suffern and Pearl River before moving to Tuxedo. There, he married Gladys Parrotto. She passed away September 26, 1996. Mr. Bracco was predeasced by his parents, wife and one sister, Jean Granese and her husband Nicholas. He is survived by his son, James M. and his wife Mary of Kingston; three granddaughters: Mrs. Beth Hopkins and her husband Glen of Mount Marion; Mrs. Mary Ott and her husband Thomas of Kingston; and Mrs. Susan Lango and her husband Ken of Amenia, New York; five great-grandchildren: Cameron, Christian and Caiden Ott of Kingston and Nicholas and Christopher of Amenia; one sister, Mrs. Catherine Heady and her husband William of Suffern. Services will be held at the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home at 27 Smith Avenue, Kingston. Internment will be at the Airmont Cemetery in Airmont, New York, at a further date. He will be buried next to his wife.
