"Antone Johnson, well known Algona Insurance man the past eight years, died early Monday morning at the hospital in Boone where he had been a patient for several weeks. He and Mrs. Johnson had gone to Boone to attend the wedding of a relative and before they could return he was taken critically ill. The daughter Charlotte, who is studying to be a nurse, has been with her parents.

Mr. Johnson was born on a farm near Boone about 60 years ago. He attended country school, and Cornell academy. He taught school at intervals during his college work and following his graduations was a superintendent of school at Graettinger, LuVerne and Emmetsburg. For a short time after leaving Emmetsburg he was in the insurance business at Council Bluffs and then came to Algona with the Northwestern Mutual Ins. Co. Mr. Johnson took an active part in civic affairs here and was highly thought of by all who knew him.

Besides his wife and daughter he is survived by a brother in California and a brother and sister in Boone. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the First Evangelical Lutheran church at Boone and burial will be made at Boone."
