Melba O. (Adams) Wallace, age 94, of Summitville, IN, died Thursday, June 23, 2011, at Community Hospital in Anderson, IN. Melba was employed by Owens Illinois in selecting for 30 years. She reitred in 1974. She is a retired union member, member of the Glass Blowers Association and enjoyed sewing, gardening, fishing, reading and a trip to Hawaii with her sister and niece.

She was the daughter of the late George Adams and the late Eva (Atkinson) Adams Smith. She was born on January 4, 1917 in Gas City, Indiana. She attended Gas City and Fairmount Schools. She married her beloved William (Willie) D. Wallace on July 8, 1933. He preceded her in death on May 18, 2004.

Arrangements are being handled by Armes-Hunt Funeral Home, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, IN where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, June 24, 2011. Funeral Service is Saturday, June 25, 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Jefferson Cemetery, Upland, IN
