Sarah M. "Aunt Sally" Jones, 91, of Anderson, passed away Jan. 13, 2012, at Henry County Hospital in New Castle after an extended illness.
She was born Feb. 22, 1920, in Dunrieth, Ind., the daughter of John and Hattie Jones.
She graduated from Lewisville High School, moved to Anderson, was a member of the Central Wesleyan Church and worked 44 years at Delco-Remy before retiring in 1986.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews, John and Patsy Byrd of Pendleton, Rex and Brenda Jones of Lewisville, Joyce Cruze of Indiana and David Catron of New Castle. Also surviving are several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Sarah was preceded in death by her brother, James F. Jones; a sister, Loretta Byrd; and a niece, Janet Sue.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, officiated by Pastor Ken Sandefur. Burial will take place at South Mounds Cemetery in New Castle.
