BRIGHT, Robert "Bob" David, age 77, of Chesterfield, Va., was called home on Monday, March 14, 2011 after a brief illness at McGuire Veterans Hospital.

Bob was born in Wausaukee, Wis., the seventh of 15 children, on February 23, 1934. Bob was a Korean War veteran who served with the 82nd Airborne. He married Mary Joseph Edwards in 1954 and moved to Virginia.

He is survived by his loving wife; their three daughters, Connie Sheldon of Chesterfield, Gail Jenkins of Louisa and Teresa Jones of Rice; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. One son, William Joseph Bright Sr., preceded him in death.

Friends and loved ones may attend the viewings held at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road, on Thursday from 2 to 4 or 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints on Cogbill Road at 1 p.m. on Friday, followed by a graveside service at Dale Memorial Park. The family will be receiving guests back at the church immediately following the closing of the services.
