(VALLEY) Annie Pearl "Maw Maw" Brown, 84, of Valley died Jan. 10, 2012, at her residence.

The funeral will be at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley on Thursday, Jan. 12, at 2 p.m. EST with the Revs. Tim and Darren White officiating. Burial will be in Fairfax Cemetery.

Born May 2, 1927, in Langale to the late Nannie Lou Hubbard and Erby Lee Hubbard, Mrs. Brown was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star and Langdale Quest Club. For many years, she was active in her church. She retired from West Point Pepperell after 47-1/2 years of service. She then worked for the city of Valley Senior Center as a bus driver for 12 years. Mrs. Brown then enjoyed painting ceramics.

She is survived by five children and their spouses, Dianne Jones, Charles and Mary Alice Brown, Wayne Brown, Joan and Wayne Junghans and Jean Brown; a daughter-in-law, Charlotte Brown; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Hubbard; a sister, Jeanette Haynes; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie C. Brown Jr.; a son, Phillip Brown; two sisters, Elizabeth Burdette and Fay Hubbard; three brothers, Milford Hubbard, Jack Hubbard and Ray Hubbard; and a granddaughter.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Fairview Baptist Church in her memory.
