Mr. Gary Allen Willett, 77, of Asheboro, NC, died Saturday, August 27, 2011, at Grace Healthcare of Winston-Salem.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at First Baptist Seagrove with Rev. Jimmy Austin officiating. Burial will follow at Whynot Wesleyan Church Cemetery in Seagrove.

A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Willett was born August 4, 1934. He was the son of the late Ed Willett and Iris Presnell Willett Sharpe.

He was a member of First Baptist Seagrove, where he had served as a deacon and on various committees. He was a truck driver with over 50 years experience and having driven for Dixie Furniture, Stuart Love Furniture, Ruan, Sooner, AMandaY Express and retiring from Chief Express, Seagrove, in 2005. He also won several million mile safe driver awards.

Mr. Willett is survived by his wife, Carol Willett, of the home; daughters, Karen Willett Glass and husband, Ben, of Ramseur, NC, Amy Willett Dennis and husband, Mike, of Randleman, NC; son, Allen Willett and wife, Elizabeth, of Asheboro, NC; step-son, Mark James and wife, Frances, of Asheboro, NC; sister, Laura Willett Pardue, and husband, David, of Asheboro, NC; niece, Robin Pardue Williams and husband, Clint, of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Angela Hogan and husband, Dennis, Jason Hall and wife, Anna, Cassy James, Wesley James, Kody Dennis, Laynee Dennis, Madalyn Willett; great grandchildren, Makayla Hall, Jerimiah Hall, Michael Hall, Kaitlyn Hogan and Matthew Hogan.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Monday, August 29, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
