The John Kyress sharing a tombstone with Catherine Romire in Salem Township Cemetery is brother of those two German immigrant Kyress/Carius sisters, Catherine and Fredericka "Rachael," all of whom lived originally in America at Watertown, Washington County, Ohio, where Henry was born.
Rachael or Rachel was the commonly used nickname for Fredericka, among Germans.
John Kyress' 1892 will left his tools and timber to his nephew Henry Romire, his house to his niece Rosa Romire, and $10 each to his nephew David Romire and to John's sister Rachael Abendschoen with her daughter Katie. He also left his watch to David.

Mrs. Frederica Abendschoen, widow of the late Mr. Henry Abendschoen, passed away at her home, 512 Montgomery St., at 12:45 this morning, after an illness of over three years with complications. The deceased was born in Germany, June 30, 1837, and has lived in this city the greater part of her life, for the past sixty years. She was a member of the St. Paul's Church of this city.
Mrs. Abendschoen is survived by one son, Fred, and one daughter, Katherine, with whom she has made her home. Two grandchildren, Olga and Alma, children of the late Mr. William Abendschoen, also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at four o'clock at the home and Rev. Mr. Decker of the St. Paul's [ Evangelical Lutheran ] Church will have charge. Burial will be made in Oak Grove Cemetery."
