Hobart H. (H.F.) Early, 91, of Marietta died July 9, 2008. Services were held in Castellaw's Chapel with Rev. A. J. Bailey, a dedicated and trusted employee and "Family " friend for 45 years, officiating. Entombment in Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jonathan and Jason Early, sons of the late Hobart Eugene and Joyce Keister Early; Phil A. Early Jr., son of Phil and Katherine Campbell Early Sr.; Zachary McClain Lingerfelt, Grandson of the late Ronnie H. Early and Ann Anderson Early; Joey Robertson, Grandson by marriage to Kelly Kay Early; William Tucker, Grandson by marriage to Sallie Elizabeth Early .

He was married to the late Mildred Estelle Walters for almost 71 years. He was born to Phillip H. and Mary Battle Early June 1, 1917 in Floyd Co, Rome, GA.

He was preceded in death by his brothers W. Harper Early, John P. Early, Clayton Early; sisters Ann E. Preskitt, Bonnie E. Shannon, Alice E. Alexander; sons Ronnie H. Early and granddaughter Katie Kristian Early, Jan. 21, 1981; Hobart Eugene Early, Feb 24, 1997. Survivors include his son Phil A. Early, Smyrna; daughter Linda Ann Early, Marietta; sisters Sarah R. Early and Eloise Early Garner, both of Rome, GA; grandsons John, Jason and Phil Early; granddaughters Sallie (Mrs. William Tucker) Early, Kelly (Mrs. Joey Robertson) Early; Amy (Mrs. Bill Morse) Early, Scottie (Lingerfelt) Early; great grandsons Christopher Robertson, Zachary Lingerfelt, Cooper, Clay and Cole Early, Alex and Ben Early, Trey Early, and Jason, Kyle and Alex Morse; great granddaughters Carson Early, Veronika Lingerfelt, Savannah Tucker, and Haylie Bernecky.

He moved to Cobb Co. in 1960 and started his career as a speculative builder of homes, going on to build and develop many subdivisions in and around Cobb Co. He became part owner and President of Personality Homes, Inc. with partners Merlin F. Burt and Robert T. Cline. They manufactured pre-engineered precut homes. Landmark Realty was also established. In 1978 Personality Homes Manufacturers was established as a family business with sons Gene, Ronnie and Phil and his daughter Linda Early.

He was a member of the Cobb Co. and State Homebuilders association and active in the Cobb Chamber of Commerce where he served as President in 1973. He received the award for Developer of the Year in 1973. He was a member of the Cobb Chamber 100 Committee in 1970 and the Cobb 300 Chamber Development Department and was presented the Annual Distinguished Leadership Award while Chairman in 1974.

He was a member of the first Baptist Church, Bainbridge, Ga, joining in 1955. He received Certificate of Appreciation for Valuable Services made to the growth and prosperity of Cobb through service as a member of the Board of Directors of the Cobb Chamber in 1971 and 1972. He was also presented an award for outstanding contributions made to the memberships program in 1973.
