David Rogers, age 59 of the Milltown Road community of Robbinsville, passed away, Sunday, January 8, 2012 at his residence.
He was a native of Graham County and the son of Clara Orr Rogers and the late Howard Rogers. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Gail Childers Rogers; sons and their wives, David and Selena Rogers of Waynesville, NC, Edward and Elizabeth Rogers of Asheville, NC; brothers, Cecil Rogers, Roy Rogers, Jerry Rogers, Ronnie Rogers all of Robbinsville, NC, Tommy Rogers of Hayesville, NC, Bobby Rogers of Beaver Dam, KY, Mark Rogers of Atlanta, GA; and sister, Anita Seay of Robbinsville, NC. He has 2 grandchildren, Leah and Shane Rogers.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the Townson-Smith Chapel. The Reverends David Anderson and Tom Buchanan will officiate. Burial will follow at the Old Mother Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 till 2:00 pm Wednesday at the Chapel prior to the Services.
