Dr. Benno duMenil Anderson
LA MARQUE — Dr. Benno duMenil Anderson, 67 of La Marque, passed away Thursday June 17, 2010, at Mainland Medical Center in Texas City. Dr. Benno was born November 16, 1942, in Galveston, Texas, the son of Dr. William T. Anderson and Bertha duMenil Anderson. He was a lifelong resident of La Marque, attending La Marque Schools.
Dr. Benno was a retired physician at the Medical and Surgical Clinic in La Marque. He had served as Chief of Staff at Medical Center Hospital and was a past president of the Rotary Club of La Marque. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother William Anderson. Benno is survived by his two daughters Lara Wilhite and husband Mark Wilhite of Seabrook, Texas, and Lisa Anderson of Clear Lake, Texas; two granddaughters Bay Lee Wilhite and Brooke Wilhite; two brothers Dr. Thomas F. Anderson and wife Karen Anderson of San Angelo, Texas, and Richard Anderson and wife Tresa Anderson of Dripping Springs, Texas.
Visitation will be Monday June 21, 2010, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Monday June 21, 2010, in the Chapel of the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque, with Rev. Harold Travis, officiating.
