Lt. Colonel (Ret.) Edward O. Crouch Sr., U.S. Army, peacefully passed away during the night of December 27-28, 2011, at the age of 91, at his son's home in Annandale, Va.

His wife, Ida F. Crouch, died in 1999, and his sister, Florence G. Rutan, died in 2005.

Surviving are sons Ronald of Tahlequah, Okla., Edward Jr. and wife Kathryn and Daniel and wife Patricia, both of Annandale, and Geoffrey of Springfield, Va.; and grandsons Bartholomew, Patrick, Christopher, Sean and Kyle.

His ashes will be interred with his wife's at Arlington National Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, in St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 4801 Ravensworth Road, Annandale. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Friday, February 10, in Arlington National Cemetery. Attendees should arrive at 2:30 p.m., proceed to the security guards and notify them you are there for a service.
