In the 1850 Poland census George's age is 40 and Helen is 22.Their daughter Mary was 1 year old and is listed as a main beneficiary in Polly Kirtland's will - her grandmother who died in 1850, shortly after Mary's birth. William was not yet born but the will stated that any unborn children of George would receive the inheritance, one-fourth of Polly's estate.William drowned at age 30 in 1881.
