Renee D. Keller went home to be with the Lord suddenly on Tuesday, July 20, 2010. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Richard Keller; her son Kenneth Keller; her grandsons Caleb Keller, Simon Keller, Adam Keller and Matthew Keller; her son, Bryan Keller all of Newark Valley; her parents, Shirley and Kenneth Snavely of Candor; her brother David (Penny) Snavely of Kirkwood; sister, Sherry (Glen) Haun of Candor; sister Connie (Mark) Rogers of Candor; all of her nieces and nephews; her loving friends; and extensive EMS Family. She graduated from Newark Valley High School in 1975. Her life loves were her family, playing with her grandsons, coffee with her mother and her passion for EMS. Renee was former Chief of Berkshire Emergency Squad, Inc. She also volunteered for Berkshire Fire Department Ambulance. She worked for Candor Emergency Squad and Superior Ambulance Service, Inc. Renee would work 50 hours a week on an ambulance and spend as much time as possible when she wasn't at work, working on her volunteer ambulance. Renee was one of the strongest, kindest, gentlest women that God had ever created. Renee will be greatly missed by all.
Services for Renee will be held at 9 am on Monday, July 26, 2010 at the Newark Valley Fire Station. Internment will immediately follow at Vestal Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Renee Keller Scholarship Fund for EMS Education in care of Berkshire Emergency Squad, Inc., 9 Park Street, Suite C Newark Valley, NY 13811. Make donations to the attention of Robin Shaver.
