Phyllis L. Coble, 86, of Nampa, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2004, at a local care center. Phyllis was born on Sept. 12, 1917, in Melbourne, Australia and was raised by her foster parents. During World War II she met Franklin E. Coble, who was serving in the United States Army and traveled on the Queen Mary to America. She married Franklin in 1946 in Boise. Together they made their home in Nampa. Phyllis enjoyed gardening, fishing and walking. She was a beautiful seamstress and an award-winnng knitter.
She is survived by her only child, David F. Coble, of Nampa; a sister, Jesse Thomas, Swannbourne, Western, Australia; numerous nieces and nephews. Her husband and sister, Nell, preceded her in death.
