James C. Adams 87, New Palestine, passed away. He was born March 3, 1912 in Rockcastle County, KY. He worked for the Transportation Department of the Warren Township School System. He was a member of the East Side Trinity Gospel Tabernacle.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Sat., Feb. 28 at Hendryx Mortuary, Cumberland Chapel, 11636 E. Washington St., with calling from 4 to 8 p.m. Fri., Feb. 27. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, one sister, and his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Lucy (Rector) Adams; sons, Ronald Adams of Fairland and Glenn Adams of Indianapolis; sister Betty Hedrick of Indianapolis; brother Harley Adams of KY; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
