Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 16, 1998 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home in Bemidji, Minnesota. Burial was at the Alaska Township Cemetery, in rural Bemidji, Minnesota.
Alvin Adolph Kluzak was born June 12, 1921, the son of Arthur and Anna (Sirek) Kluzak in Tabor, Minnesota, where he attended school. He worked on the family Farm. He married Lois (Thomas) Schmidt on June 3, 1961 in Bemidji, Minnesota. They remained on the family farm until 1962, when they moved to Winger, Minnesota. They purchased and operated the Sioux Store and Cafe in Winger for two years until moving to Pennock, Minnesota, where he worked as a welder for Willmar Manufacturing. He retired in 1984, In 1989, he moved to Bemidji. Lois Kluzak passed away on December 7, 1991.
He is survived by stepsons, Gary (Donna) Schmidt and Dale (Connie) Schmidt, both of Bemidji, Minnesota and Reed (Patty) Schmidt of Atwater, Minnesota; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a step-brother, Leroy Schwartz of Crookston, Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and 5 brothers, Frank, Albert, Clarence, Steve and Tommy.
