She was a retired employee of Grief Sewing Factory and worked as a clerk at The Hub and T.W. Mather & Sons, Westminster. She was a charter member of the Ladies' Aid Society and a life member of Carrollton Church of God.
Surviving are son Eugene "Bud" Abell of Reisterstown; daughters Zelda A. Lipsky of Columbia, S.C., and Jane Abell of Reisterstown; stepson J. Robert Everhart, Jr. of Westminster; stepdaughters Emma Hotbet of Iowa and Ruth E. Haines of Westminster; nine step-grandchildren; and several step-greatgrandchildren.
