Harold E. "Jim" Cobb, of Livingston, died at Livingston Memorial Hospital Jan 3, 2012.

Jim was born on May 1, 1928, in Livingston, the son of Archie R. Cobb and Alice E. (Billman) Cobb. He attended elementary school on Suce Creek and then worked at various jobs, including with the railroad, highway department and post office. In 1950 he entered the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He was awarded two Purple Hearts and, since being discharged in 1952, received the Silver Star.

Following his honorable discharge, he returned to Livingston and in 1952 married JoAnn Stole in Livingston. To this union three children were born. They were later divorced. Jim then lived in Seattle for a time while attending barber school. He later returned to Livingston and in 1964, married Elizabeth G. "Betty" Cobb. They lived for about five years in Billings before coming back to Livingston, where he opened Jim's Barber Shop. He retired from barbering in the early 1990's. Betty died in August of 2003.

During his marriage to Betty, they enjoyed visiting Disney theme parks and wintering in Arizona. More recently, Jim enjoyed a trip to Hawaii with his grandson. He was a member of Mountain Bible Church and the American legion. He greatly enjoyed having coffee with his many friends. Jim dearly loved his family and will be forever in their hearts.
