A soldier of the Revolutionary War with the New Jersey Troops and again in North Carolina. Participated in the battle of Kings Mountain. Pension # S16692. He was married to Frances Martin. Frances Martin Case, and many other family members are also buried in this cemetery. I believe Isaiah and Frances were the parents of Sarah Ann (1787-1846), Nancy (1790-1846), Nathaniel (1792-1867), my great great grandmother, Mary Polly (1795-1865), Hannah (1798-1868), William (1802-1859), and Frances (1807-1889). A few facts: In 1787 they lived in Brown's District, Wilkes County, NC, and owned 115 acres with Aaron Case (a brother, I believe). According to the 1795 Wilkes County Tax list, Isaiah now has 353 acres. In 1796 he served on a grand jury with John Shepherd and John McQueary, two of our biologically related family lines. On Nov 21, 1818, Isaiah was a member of the Baptist Church in Green Township, about 3 miles north of Williamsburg. 1830 census in Green, Wayne. 1840 census in Green, Wayne. I believe this Cemetery is sometimes called the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery, however in findagrave.com it is listed as Old Concord Cemetery. Isaiah is my 3rd great grandfather and moved from Morris, NJ with my other 3rd great grandfather, John Parr (1759-1850) also a Revolutionary War soldier, who is buried not far away in Nolin Cemetery, Johnson County, IN. Many but not all of the Case, Parr, McQueary, Kimbrell and other early families buried in and around IN, are biologically related.
