Services were held Tuesday, November 17, at 10:30 a.m. at the A. L. Moore and Sons Mortuary at Phoenix, Arizona for Mrs. Chester B. (Josephine) Stanley, 83, who died Friday at Good Samaritan hospital. Burial was in Greenwood Memorial Park. The Rev. George M. Hayle was in charge of services.
Mrs. Stanley is survived by her husband, Chester B. Stanley, a son, Lawrence C., of Phoenix; two grandsons, Leland Stanley of Glendale, and Larry Stanley of St. Petersburg, Florida; and two great grandchildren.
She was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star and had lived in Earlham for many years before moving to Arizona about ten years ago.
Those attending the services from a distance were Phillip Duff of Van Meter; Lucille O. Potter of Covina, California; Marlin Piatt of Dexter; and Mr. and Mrs. Gladstone Foster of Des Moines.
