COY C. BRITT: Born Sept 2, 1896, Barnesville, North Carolina. Son of Mr. & Mrs. J. Britt, Barnesville. Occupation, laborer. Residence, Austin, Minn. Entered service July 15, 1917, at Austin, in Co. G, 2nd Minnesota. Died of influenza and pneumonia, at Camp Dix, Sept. 24, 1918. Under medical care at Base Hospital, Camp Dix, Sept. 15th to 24th. Corporal Britt was an employee of the Hormel Packing Co. and joined Co. G, before it went to Camp Cody. His home was North Carolina.
