She married James William McCrea on September 23, 1896 in North Grimsby Township, Ontario, Canada when she was 20 and had five children, two sons: Clarence J, James Donald and three daughters: Ruth Marion, Goldie Madeline, & Doris Margaret, with him. Edith Jessie died on July 1, 1962 at the age of 86.
