William H. Blizzard died at his residence near Carrollton, Friday, June 1, 1923, aged 79 years and 9 days. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Annie E. Six, Mrs. Laura J. Taylor, Mrs. Amanda Weis, and Virgil M. Blizzard; and four sons, George F., William P. Blizzard, Lewis H. Blizzard, and Howard W. Blizzard. Funeral services in charge of Rev. J. L. Masemore were held Monday, June 4 at 10:30 a.m. at Bethel Church of God, and interment was made in the adjoining cemetery. The deceased was a veteran of the Civil War, having served in Company C. 6th Maryland infantry. The pallbearers were William Long, John Houck, Norris Taylor, Ezra Evans, Jacob Lynch and Frank Snyder.
