Funeral for Hampton Butler, 90, of San Augustine, will be at 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 8, 2008, at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel in San Augustine with Bro. Reagan F. Sewell officiating. Interment will follow in the Attoyac Cemetery in San Augustine. Mr. Butler died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, in San Augustine. Born March 31, 1918 in Nacogdoches, he was the son of Lewis Hampton Butler and Lovie Armendie Holloway. He was a retired logger and poultry farmer. He was a member of the Attoyac Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Julia Butler of San Augustine; sons, H.B. "Bud" Butler and Cornell Butler of San Augustine, and Gene Butler of Rosevine; daughters Sue Lieurence of Conroe, Helen Sewell of Cushing, and Margo Noble of San Augustine; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
