Mr. Rose died at 6:22 p.m., Thursday in his home. The body was sent to Dallas for cremation. Local arrangements were by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.
A native of Hugh Springs, he had been a Borger resident for 17 years. He was a retired carpenter, and World War II Veteran. He was a member of American Legion and VFW Post 1789.
Survivors include four brothers, James and Cecil Rose, both of Gladewater, Texas; H.D. Rose of Borger, Texas, and Willie Dean Rose of Lockney, Texas. Four sisters: Mrs Mitty McAlister of Childress, Texas, Mrs Betty Taber, San Jose, California, Mrs Ruth Aricheta, Dallas; and Mrs Tressie Laycock of New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
