Mae O. Schaeffer, 57, of 530 Blandon Road, Ruscombmanor Township, Berks County, died Thursday, Oct. 24, in Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was the wife of Jay A. Schaeffer.
Born in Hoffmansville, Berks County, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Katie (Gephart) Derr and a stepdaughter of Ruth G. Snyder of Laureldale, Berks County.
Survivors: Husband and stepmother; daughters, Rose M. of Kenhorst, Berks County, Sandra D., wife of Kenneth B. Martin of Laureldale, and Debbie L., wife of Timothy J. Sedler of Mertztown; sons, Glenn R. Day and Bryan L. Schaeffer, both of Fleetwood; sisters, Minnie, wife of Lloyd Weller, and Margaret, wife of Herbert Weller, both of Alburtis, Mary, wife of Milton Kerchner of Barto, Marie, wife of Dallas DeVough of Boyertown, and Mildred Mercer and Martha, wife of Gerald Geist, both of Topton; brother Melvin of Huffs Church; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Allen J. Schaeffer.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, 117 W. Main St., Fleetwood. Call 7-8:30 p.m. Sunday.
