Mildred M. Carver, age 90, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2012 in a local healthcare facility. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Pearl Edmonson Cannon. She was a member of Eastside Church of Christ where she taught the 3 year olds Sunday School class for 34 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. P. Carver; two daughters, Sandra Carver and Carolyn Borden; great grandson, John Reynolds, Jr.; three brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Herron (Paul) of Old Fort and Shirley Skelton of Cleveland; eight grandchildren, Melinda Bryant, Chris Cockburn, John Reynolds, Eric Skelton, Jennifer Herron, Jason Herron, Andrea Skelton, and Jill Martin; five great grandchildren, Tasha Reynolds, Jamie Reynolds, Megan Skelton, Brittany Millsaps, and Landon Martin; two great-great grandsons, Tyler Millsaps and Hunter Skelton; three great-great granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Minister Jeff Archey and Minister Bill Maynard officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery in Old Fort.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family requests memorials be made to the Eastside Church of Christ Building Fund.
