Grew up in Humphrey County Tennessee and later moved to Nashville where she spent the remainder of her life.Mattie had three sisters,Josephine,Helen and Retha. And two brothers,Delmas and William. She had one daughter Linda and two grandchildren ,as well as two great grandchildren she never got to meet. She was the first person to introduce me to 'graving'.We made many trips together to our families graves over the years ,as well as the very first famous graves I visited.I fondly remember our strolls through the cemetery together,my partner is sorely missed.
