Culleton, 70, born May, 1830 in Canada, parents born Canada, was living on Garfield Street, Calais, Maine, with Elizabeth, 60, born March, 1840 in Canada, parents born Canada; daughter Emma, 38, born September 1861; son and cotton mill loom fixer Frank, 36, born January, 1864; daughter and cotton mill weaver Georgie, 28, born July, 1871; granddaughter and cotton mill spinner Grace, 18, born January, 1882; daughter-in-law Margaret, 35, born February 1865; grandchildren Bertha, 11, born September, 1888; Lillie, 9, born June, 1891; Ruth, 6,. born September 1893; Veronica, 3, born September, 1896; Francis, 2, born January, 1898, all in Maine.
The elder Cullitons had been married 40 years and only three of her eight children were still alive.
Margaret had been married 13 years and all of her five children were still alive.
George had come to the 1848 and Elizabeth in 1850.

In the 1880 U.S. Census, teamster George F. Cullerton, 49, born Canada, parents born Canada, was living in Calais, Maine, with Lizzie, 39, born Canada, parents born Canada; Emma L., 18; Franklin A., 17; and Georgie M., 7, all born in Maine.

In the 1870 U.S. Census, teamster George Culleton, 46, born Canada, was living in Ward 2, Calais, Maine, with Elizabeth, 31, born Canada; Emma, 8; and Frank, 7, both born in Maine.

George F. Culliton and Elizabeth L. Smith, both of Calais, were married by Rev. G.W. Durrell on September 25, 1858 in Calais. Her husband is apparently the George "Cullotan", 23, living with parents John and "Lidia" and 12 siblings in Dumfries, York County, N.B. during the 1851 Canada Census.

Elizabeth was the daughter of John F. Smith, 50, born N.B. who was living in Ward 2, Calais, Maine during the 1860 U.S. Census with her mother Sarah, 50; siblings Alonzo, 19; Malessa, 17; Anne J., 13; and Charles, all born in N.B.
