He was born June 17, 1953 in Bloomington to Emmett E. and M. Lorene Hasler Lamb. He was preceded in death by his father.

Surviving are his mother of Pekin; one son, Robert Lamb Jr.; one daughter, Leslie (Brian) Gray, one step-daughter and Chanda (Josh) Parod, all of Pekin; eight grandchildren; one brother, Jim (Bonnie) Lamb of Pekin and two sisters, Ginger (Al) McIrvin of Tennessee and Jo Ann Lamb of South Pekin.
