MRS.STEPHEN CLIFF

Mrs. Stephen Cliffdied at 1:20 P.M. Sunday Jan. 15, but five days after the death of her husband, at their old home in Arkansaw. Deceased was the oldest daughter of Arden and Mery Kelton and was born at Little Falls, N.Y. Sept. 9, 1833. While young, her parents moved to Montgomery Vt. where she lived until Jan 11, 1855, when she married Mr. Stephen Cliff and went to live in East Berkshire of same state. In 1864 the came to Arkansaw Wisconsin. In 1874 they opened the Cliff Hotel and conducted it until their death. Mrs. Cliff was a loving wife and mother and an obliging neighbor.
She was always very hospitable and mindful of all in distress. She had been sick about a week with pneuminia and bronchitis.
