Nov. 7, 1953 - August Zeise, 77, Dies Friday - Services Monday For Deerfield Farmer - August Zeise, 77 lifelong Deerfield township resident, died early Friday morning at the City Hospital. August was born December 17, 1875 in Deerfield Township. August and Christine Whilmenia Kuhnke married June 29, 1912. Surviving are his widow and two sons Vernal and Alden both of Deerfield; a daughter Mrs. Kenneth (Esther) Iverson, St. Paul; three grandchildren, Ronald, Donald and Dennis Zeise; a sister, Mrs. William (Anna) Wegner of Deerfield. Services Monday will be at 2 o'clock at Trinity Lutheran Church in Medford with the Rev. Walter A. Haag to officate. Interment will follow in the Deerfield Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the Conley Chapel Sunday evening and at the Church one hour preceding Monday's service. Casket bearers were Phillip Zeise, Marvin Wegner, Herbert Wegner, Edgar Schley, Herbert Schley and Arthur Wegner.
