Otho J. Tobery, for a number of years a resident of this city, died at the home of his son, Joseph M. Tobery, 102 East Eighth street, Tuesday night at 11:15 o'clock after an illness of one month, aged 87 years.
He was a son of the late William and Hester Ann Peasley Tobery, of Frederick county.
For many years Mr. Tobery was a farmer near Pearl and politically he was an ardent Republican.
Surviving him are these sons and daughters: John E. Tobery, Frederick; Jesse E. Tobery, Pearl; Mrs. Stella Young, George B. Tobery, both of Dickerson; Joseph M. Tobery, Frederick; Mrs. William Roberson, Dickerson; Allen H. Tobery, Uniontown. Pa.; two sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Jacob Crummitt. Frederick; Mrs. Philip Darr, Pearl; George W. Tobery, Pearl; Charles Tobery, Linganore; Aloysius V. Tobery, Frederick. Fifteen grandchildren also survive.
The body is at the funeral home, 106 East Church street, from where the funeral will take place Saturday morning at eleven o'clock: interment in Mt. Olivet cemetery. M R. Etchison and Son. funeral directors.
