Suddenly at home on January 15, 1970, Douglas Allan Parker, aged 48 years, dearly beloved husband of Elizabeth (Betty) Parker of Sanford, Manitoba. Funeral service will be held in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, Broadway at Furby, Monday, January 19 at 2:15 p.m. The Rev. William Whetter officiating.
Interment in the family plot, Sanford Cemetery. Courtesy parking west of the funeral chapels. Flowers gratefully declined. Should friends desire contributions may be made to the Manitoba Heart Foundation or the Diabetic Association. Honorary pallbearers will be: Messrs. Vernon Blackwell, John

James Hunter, George McKay and Robert Wheatland. Mr. Parker resided in Sanford all of his life. Following completion of High School, he worked with his father in their general store for a year; after which he enlisted in the Air Force as an instrument mechanic, serving overseas for five years. On his return from the war, Douglas along with his father and brother, Donald, formed a threeway partnership under which they took over the International
Harvester Agency. In 1960, he was predeceased by his father and the firm continued to operate under Parker Brothers. Mr. Parker was a member of the Sanford Legion and Sanford United Church. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Dawne of Kansas City Missouri and Barbara at home; his mother, Mrs. M. B. Parker of Winnipeg and his brother Donald J. of Sanford.
