BEECHMONT-Katheryn McElvain, 90, died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005 at her residence.

She was the daughter of George Edward Campbell and Ethel Annie Farmer, and the granddaughter of Thomas Walter Campbell and Joan Ann 'Annie' Reed, and John Jackson Farmer and Martha Joyce Dukes.

Born in Muhlenberg County May 12, 1915, she was a homemaker and member of the Belton Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Odie McElvain; a daughter, Freida Simonson and a son, Raymond MeElvain.
Survivors include her husband, Adrian Jones of Central City; two sons, Tom (Mae) McElvain of Beechmont and Gary (Olga) McElvain of Dunedin, Fla.; a daughter, Kay (Gary) Silcox of Tennessee; three sisters, Bea Elschide of Owensboro, Novella Lynch of Graham and Jean Mayes of Central City; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 5 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Loney officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City.

Visitation will be held after 1 p.m. Oct. 5 at Tucker Funeral Home.
