Businessman. A railroad tycoon and mining magnate, he was the builder of the world-renowned Moffat Road train route in Colorado. He co-founded the “Woolworth and Moffat” department stores (now known as Woolworth's). One of the founders of Denver University, he was a close friend of Horace and Baby Doe Tabor.
