from the Republican for Nov. 20, 1930:

Lizton - Mrs. Mary Jones, of Jamestown, sister of Mrs. John Duzan, and formerly lived here, was killed by the fast freight, Monday morning, while she was crossing the track on the way home after having been to town on an errand. Sympathy is extended to Mrs. Duzan in her advanced age and ill health, also to other relatives and friends.

from the Indianapolis Star for Nov. 18, 1930:

Jamestown Woman Killed

Lebanon, Ind., Nov. 17 - Mrs. Mary Jones, 78 years old, a resident of Jamestown for the last ten years and known affectionately throughout Boone and Hendricks counties as "Aunt Mary", was killed instantly by a Big Four westbound freight at the Jamestown crossing as she was returning home from an errand downtown today. Her body was tossed thirty feet across the street. Partially deaf and crippled by rheumatism which necessitated the use of two canes, Mrs. Jones walked into the path of the speeding train without ever seeing it.

She was born near Lizton and lived in that community until the death of her husband, James Jones, who preceded her in death ten years ago. A sister survives. Rites will be conducted Wednesday at Jamestown.
